The brand development agency GFH has acquired the English whisky brand Fielden for an undisclosed sum of money.

Known for its focus on regenerative farming, Fielden was launched in 2024 as a rebrand of The Oxford Artisan Distillery.

It uses a clover-based regenerative system, where diverse grains are planted into clover and farmed without chemicals. It currently has three expressions within its range: Signature, Harvest and Fieldnotes.

Fielden joins fellow British producers like Sapling, Everleaf and Nc’nean under the GFH ownership.

Tristram Coates, founder and CEO of GHF, commented: We are delighted to be able to formally announce GHF’s acquisition of Fielden Whisky. This is a brand we have admired, respected and quietly followed for a long time and one we feel incredibly privileged to now take into our care.

“What sets Fielden apart is its conviction. Rooted in the fields of England, it brings agriculture to the forefront of a world that too often forgets where whisky really begins – the land, the soil, the grain and the people who work it. Fielden shines a light on a part of whisky that has long been misunderstood and under-celebrated, translating it into whisky that is distinctive, genuinely delicious and approachable.

“Over the next decade, we will begin a methodical, long-term scaling of Fielden – not chasing shortcuts or diluting what makes it special but celebrating it.”
