Diageo GB has appointed a new sales director for the UK’s off-trade sector.

James Halliday will take up the role of off-trade sales director from September 1, 2019. He will move from his current role as revenue & category growth director at Beiersdorf, and he has previously held roles at Mondelez and Johnson and Johnson.

Halliday replaces Guy Dodwell, who left Diageo last summer to take up the role of sales and marketing director at Bristol Distilling.

The news follows the appointment of a new managing director for Diageo GB, which was announced at the end of 2018.

In November the company promoted travel retail boss Dayalan Nayager to the role of Diageo GB managing director, replacing Charles Ireland who announced he was leaving after 20 years with the business.

Nayager joined Diageo in 2013 and he was appointed as managing director for global travel in 2016.
