Coterie Holdings has announced the acquisition of specialist wine importer Hallgarten & Novum as the company looks to expand its portfolio. 

Following the announcement that Michael Saunders [pictured above] has taken on the role of CEO at Coterie, the holding company has purchased Hallgarten & Novum for an undisclosed sum, adding to its portfolio which includes Lay & Wheeler and Jera Wine. 

Andrew Bewes, managing director for Hallgarten & Novum will continue to head up the business, alongside chief financial officer Howard Falk.
