Coterie Group has strengthened its international footprint with the acquisition of Links Concept Family Wine Merchants, a fine wine importer and distributor in Hong Kong.

Founded in 2000, Links Concept has built a reputation for premium agency representation across Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China, with a portfolio that spans Champagne Louis Roederer, Familia Torres, Antinori, Torbreck, Alvaro Palacios, Shaw+Smith and Louis Latour.

The deal marks a significant strategic move for London-based fine wine group Coterie as it accelerates growth across key Asian markets. The group, whose portfolio includes Lay & Wheeler, Hallgarten & Novum Wines, Coterie Vaults, Jera Wine and Global Wine Solutions, said the acquisition forms part of its ambition to build a modern, global fine wine ecosystem spanning merchanting, storage, financial services and supply into specialist sectors.

Michael Saunders, CEO of Coterie Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Links Concept Family Wine Merchants into the Coterie family. Their focus on quality, their excellent producer portfolio and their deep knowledge of the Hong Kong and China markets makes them an ideal partner. This acquisition strengthens our international footprint and allows us to offer even greater opportunities for the family-owned wineries we represent.”

“This is a proud moment for Links Concept Family Wine Merchants,” the company’s director Alice de La Fuente Saez and MD Jermann Lai said in a joint statement. “For more than 25 years we have worked to introduce some of the world’s most exciting producers to Hong Kong and beyond. Joining Coterie gives us the resources and global reach to take that mission further while staying true to our values of quality and partnership. We are excited to begin this next chapter together.”

Under the new ownership, Links Concept will continue to operate under its existing name and management team to ensure continuity for producers, trade partners and private clients. The businesses said the partnership would support the continued premiumisation of the Asian fine wine market and allow closer connectivity between producers and a rapidly expanding regional customer base.
