Viña Concha y Toro has announced the merger of its European, Nordic and UK-based teams into one regional business, with a new trading name which has been in place since 1 July.
Now known as VCT Europe, the merged regions form part of a plan to exploit growth opportunities, focusing on consolidating.
Simon Doyle, general manager, Europe said these “synergies will better enable our highly experienced and knowledgeable team to focus all energies on growing our brands and meeting the needs of our key markets”.
Operationally and legally there will be no change to the service supplied to customers. VCT Europe retains its main offices in the UK at Wheatley in Oxfordshire, with additional registered offices in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
There have however, been some internal shifts to accommodate the changes. Christian Hargreaves, market manager for the Nordic region, and Julian Bellio, director of sales for the distributor markets, have joined commercial director for Europe, Clare Griffiths, and supply chain & finance director for Europe, Andrea Mirone on the executive team, led by Doyle.
Established over 140 years ago in Santiago, Chile, Viña Concha y Toro has operated a vertically integrated model, with subsidiary offices globally, including those in Mexico, Brazil and Asia. The UK office was the first to open in late 2000.
