Concha y Toro UK has launched a new wine from Argentina’s Trivento brand.

Trivento Reserve Shiraz is designed to complement the “hugely popular” Reserve Malbec and Private Reserve Malbec, which have delivered impressive sales for the brand in recent times, according to the producer.

Concha y Toro UK has seen “unprecedented growth” for its Argentinean brand over the most recent 52-week period. In total market, its value sales have grown above 52%, and it has recorded more than 30% growth in both grocery multiples and impulse channels.

The brand’s premium Private Reserve Malbec has grown 102% in value over the same 52-week period (Nielsen, 12 months to July 11, 2020). Trivento also launched a Malbec Rose in June 2020, which the producer said has been well received in the UK market.

Winemaker Maximiliano Ortiz said: “Argentina’s Shiraz has grown and expanded remarkably the past decade. It adapts very well to the higher sunshine and cooler regions of Mendoza, such as the Uco Valley.

“Trivento Reserve Shiraz shows beautiful crimson colour, full body, floral aromas, ripe black fruits and spicy notes of smoke and vanilla.”

Trivento recently celebrated its third year in partnership with Discovery channels, launching a new series of 8 x 10-second idents across Discovery, Quest, DMAX, and dplay which run from April until December 31, 2020.

Trivento Reserve Shiraz is available in UK retail from mid-August, RRP £8.
