Comité Champagne, the trade organisation representing Champagne growers and houses, has released the final stage of its education programme.

Level 3, dubbed the expert level, covers heritage, sustainability, research and advanced tasting and pairing.

Created as an online resource for professionals across wine, hospitality, retail, tourism and education, 36,000 people worldwide enrolled in the first two levels.

Level 1, named the explorer, introduced Champagne, its wines and tasting basics.

Meanwhile, Level 2, the connoisseur, focused on terroir, vineyard practices, winemaking and innovation.

The organisation said: “With Champagne Education, Comité Champagne opens up its knowledge to a global community — empowering individuals and teams with free, high-quality online training resources that combine scientific rigour with hands-on practicality.”
