Comité Champagne, the official trade organisation representing all Champagne growers and houses, has launched a global training platform that offers education on Champagne.

Aimed at both beginners and industry professionals across hospitality, retail, tourism and education, the programme – Champagne Education – currently offers two levels, with a third launching later this summer.

36,000 learners have already been enrolled worldwide across the two levels, which cover viticulture, winemaking, tasting and service.

Alongside online education, Comité Champagne has also initiated a face-to-face training programme through which participants can take a ‘Champagne Specialist’ training course. It will be coming to London from 8–10 September at the educational institution Le Cordon Bleu.

All masterclasses and study tours will be led by accredited trainers, and students can receive free access to tools including vineyard maps, tasting guides and interactive resources.

Comité Champagne noted that the programme has been created in-house by a team with “more than 80 years of training experience”.
