Pernod Ricard’s Chivas Brothers whisky unit is set to unveil a handful of unreleased whiskies in the launch of a new tasting experience aimed at whisky enthusiasts and collectors.

Visitors to the division’s Strathisla distillery will now be able to enter The Vault, which houses 14 rare casks containing whiskies that have not yet been available for purchase. Led by Chivas Brothers’ team of whisky experts, guests will be given a guided tasting drawn from exclusive samples, including distillates and high-aged whiskies.

Intended for whisky collectors, the experience will also give attendees the opportunity to purchase casks, with the offer of storing these in The Vault for a further four years of maturation before bottling.

Sandy Hyslop, director of blending and inventory at Chivas Brothers, said: “Every cask safeguarded inside The Vault demonstrates Chivas Brothers’ unrivalled quality, heritage, and craftsmanship.

“By opening the doors of The Vault, we are providing a one-of-a-kind opportunity for those visiting Speyside, bringing some of the world’s rarest and most remarkable whiskies into the spotlight for whisky connoisseurs and collectors to enjoy, savour and purchase.”
