Chapel Down is launching its Bacchus Gin paired with tonic in a 25cl can format, marking the first time the wine producer has entered the convenience market with a pre-mixed product.
Winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire partnered with Double Dutch to select a tonic to blend with the highly aromatic Bacchus Gin.
He said: “The intense refreshment, the ‘zing’ of Chapel Down Bacchus Gin shines through in this classic G&T serve. The tonic selected enhances the heady aroma of intense citrus peel, juniper and freshly cut grass followed by a palate dominated by ripe citrus fruit with a herbal finish.”
Mark Harvey, managing director of wines and spirits, said: “There is real dynamism and massive potential for super premium brands in pre-mixed drinks. We are thrilled with our first entrant – refreshingly delicious and presented in a stunning can design, reflecting the beauty of the mother bottle.”
Chapel Down Bacchus Gin & Tonic Cans (rsp £2.50 per 5.5% abv can) are now available for an exclusive launch period in Selfridge stores and also direct from Chapel Down in 12 x 25cl cans with an introductory price of £25 for 12 cans including free delivery.
