Gosset Champagne is launching its new cuvee Blanc de Noirs in the UK, as well as a new look for Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs.

Gosset Grande Blanc de Noirs is 100% Pinot Noir grown in the finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. Like all Gosset Champagnes it has a brightness of acidity because it does not undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in Gosset’s cool cellars for nine years and this special limited edition Champagne has been released just in time for the festive season.

The newcomer is described as being “perfectly balanced between intense aromas and finesse with the fruitiness of the Pinot Noir expressing itself with surprising lightness”. The lower dosage of only 5g per litre is also expected to make it more of a food-friendly cuvee and the producer recommends serving it with a rich goat’s cheese or alongside some langoustines.

Gosset cellarmaster, Odilon de Varine, said: “I am proud of this limited-edition cuvee, which expresses the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir, used in our other Gosset wines. We are delighted to share this unique wine with all our fellow Champagne connoisseurs, followers and friends.”

The Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs has a new look and is now presented in a clear glass bottle.

Harvey Nichols will be an exclusive stockist of these wines until 13 October in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh, and online. The wines are priced £85 for the Grand Blanc de Noirs and £75 for the Grand Blanc de Blancs.
