C&C Group – the owner of brands including Tennent’s, Bulmers, Jubel and Bibendum – has announced its half-year results for the financial year 2026.
Looking at the six months ending August 31, 2025, the group reported that its net revenue was down by 4%.
It said that this was due to the transfer of Budweiser Brewing Group volume in the Republic of Ireland. As such, net revenue was €825.7 million in HY2026 compared with €861.4 million in HY2025.
At the same time, however, operating profit increased by 4%, rising from €40.3 million in HY2025 to €41.9 million in HY2026. Adjusted EBITDA was also up by 2%.
Considering the highlights of the first half of the financial year, C&C Group said that Tennent’s and Bulmers both delivered net revenue growth and improved market share.
It also pointed to encouraging progress in Great Britain’s off-trade for the Magners brand, as well as general volume growth in the GB on-trade distribution business.
In other news, C&C said its €150 million capital return programme is on track, and that the search process for a CFO is still underway.
Roger White, chief executive officer, commented: “We have delivered a solid first-half performance against a challenging market backdrop. We continue to invest in initiatives to support improved business performance – building brands, delivering service, range and value to customers and consumers. In addition, we have made good initial progress in our programme to simplify and improve our core business processes.
“We believe we are well prepared for the all-important festive trading period, and whilst we expect challenging economic conditions to persist, we remain committed to the delivery of our full-year earnings targets”.
