Morrisons has appointed Phil Cave to head up its wine team following the departure of Andrew Turner.
Turner left the retailer at the end of last year after 18 months, having joined from Australian Vintage, and has now returned to the supply side as director with Brand Phoenix. He replaces Steve Barton, who is developing a business in the US.
A Morrisons spokesperson said: “Phil Cave has joined the Morrisons wine team to head
up its trading team as category manager following Andrew Turner’s departure to pursue other interests.
“Cave moves across from his role as category manager for beers, spirits and tobacco, having joined Morrisons in 2011 from Reckitt Benckiser, where he held a number of commercial roles. He will work alongside Mark Jarman (head of wine operations) and the sourcing team and report into BWS category director Steve Mosey.”
