Brewgooder has joined forces with craft brewer Fourpure to launch two new beers that will fund clean water projects.

Glasgow-based non-profit beer brand Brewgooder has collaborated with the Bermondsey-based brewer to launch two new exclusive beers: Mango Pale Ale and Session India Pale Ale.

The funds raised from selling the beer will be used to support its mission to deliver clean water to one million people, but building water pumps in Malawi.

Alan Mahon, founder of Brewgooder, said: “We believe that craft beer has the power to change the world and this will always be the driving force for everything we do. Working with an incredible partner like Fourpure was a natural step in bringing this vision to more of the craft community and show that we can all make real change. We’ve loved working with the Fourpure team who share our thirst for change.”

The 3.9% abv Mango Pale Ale is inspired by one of the most loved fruits in Malawi and the 3.7% abv Session India Pale Ale is described as “a distinctive IPA”.

Mahon said: “Mango is a fruit that is celebrated across Malawi and as such seemed a fitting symbol to inspire this collaboration. Our Clean Water Lager has already made such a significant impact and so we were keen to expand the range with more sessionable style beers. It is no secret that the craft beer scene is full of variety, these beers are in response to our fans calling for more variety when making a conscientious choice.”

Proceeds from the two new brews will be donated to The Brewgooder Foundation, which has already supported more than 132 projects. The two beers mark the fifth small-batch collaboration for Brewgooder, as well as the first outside of Scotland.

Drinkers will be able to experience the stores of the people and communities impacted by Brewgooder projects by taking a photo of the QR code found on each of the beer cans.

The beers will be available to buy from the Brewgooder online shop or from selected bars, restaurants and retailers across London and Scotland.
