Fine wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd has achieved B Corp certification.

The family-owned business said it has been working toward this milestone for several years by embedding more sustainable practices across its operations.

These efforts include reducing waste, cutting emissions, investing in regenerative viticulture projects and partnering with producers and suppliers who share its values.

Earlier this year, the company reported a 15% reduction in emissions across the business, alongside a switch to 100% renewable energy and a 160% increase in solar generation over the past two years.

Currently, 40% of Berry Bros. & Rudd’s delivery vehicles run on electricity, with a further 30% powered by hydrotreated vegetable oil.

Commenting on the new status, Liz Rudd, chair of Berry Bros & Rudd, said: “Achieving B Corp certification is an important acknowledgement of what we’ve achieved so far, but we view it as just one stage in our continuing journey. We will keep improving by focusing on measurable action and responsible stewardship — building a business that is fit for future generations.”
