Gallo has unveiled Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscato as a new addition to its Californian wine portfolio.
Moscato volume sales grew 20% in the US market in the year to May 25 (Nielsen) and Gallo hopes Moscato madness can sweep the UK too by tapping into a growing trend for sweet wines among younger consumers.
Barefoot Wine Marketing Manager Yona Ellis said Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscato is “guaranteed to attract new customers to the Barefoot brand”.
The new wine will be rolled out across the UK, with an rrp of £9.49.
Gallo will promote the new Barefoot variant with a social media campaign, a neck collar promotion and sampling at more than 500 consumer events.
