Berkmann Wine Cellars has become the UK agent for the Argentinian producer Rutini Wines, based in the Mendoza region’s Uco Valley.
The Rutini portfolio encompasses a broad range of wines, including premium Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, white and rosé wines, and a selection of fine and limited-production single vineyard cuvées.
Rutini has been making wine for more than 140 years and was the first winery to plant grapes in the Uco Valley, in 1924.
Juan Pablo Murgia (pictured) joined the company as head winemaker last year, working alongside Mariano Di Paola, Rutini’s winemaker for more than three decades.
Murgia said: “Partnering with Berkmann Wine Cellars marks an exciting new chapter for Rutini in the UK.
“We share a deeply aligned vision rooted in family values, professional excellence and a close commitment to supporting the trade.”
