Supermarkets are slashing prices on a range of Champagnes and sparkling wines ahead of Valentine's Day.
Waitrose leads the annual fizz war with a number of price cuts on major sparkling brands, including
Piper Heidsieck Rosé Sauvage,
down £5 to £22.99, Alexandre Bonnet Brut Rosé,
down £4 to £14.99 and
25 per cent off Taittinger Brut Réserve, down to £21.74 from £28.99.
