Provence rosé: pale and exotic

A French winery owned by an Australian former investment banker and his French wife has released a

Provence rosé.

Château Pontet-Bagatelle in Coteaux d'Aix en Provence has launched La Rosée de Bagatelle - which means "the dew of Bagatelle"

Garry and Sabine Stephen bought the estate in 2006, invested in state-of-the-art vinification technology and hired oenologist Bernadette Tourrel to make the Grenache/Syrah blend under the Coteaux d'Aix en Provence AOC.

It is very pale pink and has redcurrant, peach and exotic fruit flavours, according to its makers. It retails at £7.95 and has 14% abv.
