Thornbridge Brewery launches IPA to raise money for NHS

Thornbridge Brewery is launching a beer in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, with all profits raised to be donated to NHS Charities Together.

Florence, named after Florence Nightingale, also marks 2020 as The Year of the Nurse and Midwife as well as the celebration of what would have been Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday.

Simon Webster, co-Founder and owner of Thornbridge Brewery said: “Those working for the NHS at this time are doing such an incredible job and we wanted to find a way to support them. What better way than to brew a beer to honour them and donate all profits to NHS Charities Together.”

Florence is a 4.5% session IPA with a stone fruit aroma and a defined bitterness on the palate. Florence will be available in bottle from Mid-May at thornbridge.co.uk.

Thornibridge has already launched a 25% discount for all NHS workers for beer ordered via the brewer’s web shop. Once its pubs reopen the brewer also has plans to put on a number of parties for NHS workers, to thank them for the work they have undertaken during the pandemic.
