East London Liquor adds gin aged in vermouth casks
East London Liquor has released a gin aged in red vermouth casks.
It is the 10th release in four years in the company’s barrel-aged gin programme which has included spirits rested in a variety of casks that have previously stored Moscatel wine, ginger beer and cider, and peated whisky.
Only 300 bottles of the latest 48% abv gin are being produced with an rrp of £49.
It will be sold through East London Liquor’s own bottle shops in Bow Wharf, Borough Market and Seven Dials in London, and by Majestic online.
East London Liquor’s global brand ambassador Mikey Pendergast has created a festive serve called Santa’s Got a Brand New Bag, featuring the gin with white port, Cynar artichoke liqueur, Angostura bitters and a pinch of salt.
Founder Alex Wolpert said: “Long, cold nights deserve something particularly special in your glass.
“Our latest barrel-aged gin hits all those notes, and more. This might just be the start of a new festive tradition.”
