Bollinger marks 40 years as James Bond sidekick
Bollinger is celebrating 40 years as the official Champagne of the James Bond movie franchise by releasing two special editions.
A luxury limited edition called Moonraker – after the film that launched the partnership in 1979 – is a wood veneer and pewter case enclosing a crystal ice bucket and a magnum of Bollinger 2007.
It is limited to 407 numbered packs and has an rrp of £4,500.
The second is at the more accessible £150 price point and is a 007 limited edition 2011 vintage which is on pre-order ahead of next spring’s release of No Time To Die, the 25th Bond flick.
The black bottle features the figure 25 formed from the titles of previous films in the series. The titles are also on its wooden presentation box.
The wine was made entirely from Pinot Noir from the grand cru village of Aÿ.
Etienne Bizot, chief executive of Société Jacques Bollinger, said: “It brings me an immense amount of pride to be celebrating 40 years of partnership between Bollinger and James Bond.
“It is a testament to the friendship started in 1979, between my father Christian Bizot and James Bond producer Cubby Broccoli, a friendship based on our shared values such as excellence and elegance.”
