Furleigh Estate releases rosé with sorbet collaboration

Furleigh Estate, the Dorset-based wine producer, has released a dry rosé and it has also collaborated with a local ice cream producer for a rosé sorbet launch.

The 11.5% abv Sea Pink (rap: £10.95) is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Rondo. It is described as having floral scents with a palate “bursting with flavours of sun-ripened soft red fruit”, alongside cranberry and redcurrant.

The English winery has also teamed up with cult Dorset brand Baboo Gelato, which makes ice cream less than two miles from the Furleigh Estate vineyard, to create a Seal Pink Rosé Sorbet.

Rebecca Hansford, co-owner of Furleigh Estate, said: “We are delighted to introduce Sea Pink just in time for the season of sunshine, sporting events and summer festivities across the UK. Succulent strawberry meets juicy pomegranate with a hint of fresh blackcurrant to deliver a fruity punch which bursts into life on the palate. Sea Pink shows great depth of flavour, excellent vibrancy on the finish and works extremely well as the core ingredient of Baboo Gelato’s Sea Pink Rosé Sorbet.
