Ginking adds Italian-inspired variant to portfolio
Ginking is adding another variant to its collection of wine and gin infused drinks.
Ginking Botanica Italia, which is available exclusively from Morrison’s stores, has been created by founder and winemaker, John Worontschak.
The 8.5% abv newcomer is an infusion of fruity Italian white wine and London Dry Gin, and it is described as “bursting with angostura bark and gentian root botanicals commonly used in vermouth”.
Worotschak said: “Ginking is about combining wine and London Dry Gin with appropriate botanicals to create original, delicious and refreshing drinks. In just 12 months, we have created a new category within alcoholic beverages and we continue to spearhead its growth through strong sales and innovation.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for interesting, convenient and refreshing drinks. Add the fact that it’s 100% natural and low in alcohol, and we believe that we have something truly special.”
Ginking Botanica Italia is priced at £10 in Morrison’s and it joins others in the portfolio: Ginking Original, Ginking Original Rose – both of which feature English wine and London Dry Gin – and Ginking Mediterranean, made with Spanish wine and London Dry Gin infused with Mediterranean botanicals.
