Romanian producer launches premium Solevari wine range

Romanian wine producer Cramele Recas has launched a premium range called Solevari.

The initial line-up comprises Pinot Noir and Shiraz varietals with an rrp of £11.99.

There are plans to add a varietal from the red indigenous grape Feteasca Neagra in future.

Cramele Recas is owned by Philip and Elvira Cox and has become Romania’s biggest exporter of wine since launching 20 years ago.

It claims to sell 2 million bottles of wine a year in the UK including the market’s best-selling Pinot Grigio.

Its production totals 9 million litres of wine a year.
