Halewood invests in new distillery and venue for Liverpool Gin

27 June, 2018

Liverpool Gin will soon boast a new distillery, complete with two bars, a Gin Lab and a bartender school.

The £1 million development, owned by Halewood Wines & Spirits, will enable gin fans to learn how to make their own gin. Visitors will be able to choose their own botanicals and distill their own bespoke gin to take home.

Visitors will also be able to see Liverpool Gin being made. They will also have the choice of visiting a premium gin and spirits bar on the ground floor or a premium dark spirits bar at basement level. Both bars will serve food.

Lee Tayburn, Halewood’s operations director, said: “Liverpool Gin is one of the city’s most well-loved premium brands and the new distillery, right in the heart of Liverpool’s bustling food and drink hub, will provide an accessible interactive experience which will appeal to both locals and visitors alike.”

The new development is expected to open later this year on Liverpool’s Castle Street.
