Bordeaux Wine Month proves a hit with indies
The inaugural Bordeaux Wine Month is in full swing as more than 40 retailers across the UK are hosting tastings, running promotional activities and celebrating the region.
The trade campaign is designed to provide a fun and exciting way to drive summer sales and boost interest in Bordeaux wines.
Retailers up and down the country have been engaging with new and existing customers and encourage them to try a variety of wines from the world-famous region.
To date, activities have included tastings, consumer mailings, competitions and eye-catching displays, featuring distinctive posters, postcards, leaflets and neck collars.
Fiona Juby, UK Market Consultant for Vins de Bordeaux, said: “We are delighted to see so many independent retailers embrace our first Bordeaux Wine Month. It’s an ideal opportunity for retailers to showcase the diversity of Bordeaux: whether it’s a classic red blend, a crisp white or a delicious rosé, Bordeaux really does offer something to suit everyone, whatever the budget or occasion.
