Halewood takes on Beluga's super-premium vodkas

Halewood Wines & Spirits has secured the distribution rights for super-premium Russian vodka producer, Beluga.

The deal will see Halewood take over from Cellar Trends from July 1st, to supply the UK & Ireland's off and on-trades with Beluga’s collection of vodkas, including Beluga's Noble, Transatlantic, Allure, Gold Line and Hunting variants.

The range, which hails from Siberia, where the Mariinsk Distillery was established in 1900, stands out from the crowd with its unique distillation method, according to Halewood. The process couples malt spirit with artesian water from Siberian bedrock and maturation that typically takes one to three months.

The brand will sit alongside Halewood’s existing portfolio of premium vodkas including JJ Whitley Potato and Rhubarb Vodkas, Whitley Neill Blood Orange and Rye Vodkas, Liverpool Vodka and Glasgow Distillery’s G52 Urban Craft Vodka.

Sergey Mikhaylov, export manager for Western Europe at Beluga Group, said: “Thanks to its superb marketing and distribution expertise, Halewood has built a proven track record for taking brilliant brands further. As such, we are confident the business can deliver significant growth for us in the UK, which remains one of the world’s largest luxury vodka markets.”

Stewart Hainsworth, group ceo at Halewood, said: “Beluga has built a worldwide reputation for producing high quality vodka and for that reason it is an excellent extension of Halewood’s existing range of innovative and artisanal spirits. We see tremendous opportunity to take the brand on to even greater success.”

Halewood will offer the following variants: Beluga Noble Vodka (rsp: £40 for 70cl), Beluga Transatlantic Vodka, Beluga Allure Vodka, Beluga Gold Line Vodka and Beluga Hunting Vodka.
