Jacob's Creek extends into pre-mixed drinks

Jacob’s Creek is releasing a premium sparkling drink into the thriving pre-mixed drink sector.

Jacob’s Creek Aperitivo Spritz is designed to tap into the popularity of bitter orange aperitifs as well as consumer demand for light and fresh ‘spritz’ offerings that are simple to serve and refreshing to drink, according to the company.

The wine-based drink has a flavour profile of blood oranges and selected botanicals, such as cinchona and licorice root extract, delivering a fruity drink with bittersweet citrus notes.

The 8.5% abv drink also taps into the growing trend for lower alcohol serves, and in addition, Aperitivo Spritz contains just 119 calories per serve.

The launch of the 75cl newcomer will be supported with PR, on-pack neck tag and in-store activations such as sampling.
