The Benevolent moves annual charity ball to Natural History Museum

04 May, 2018

The Benevolent has announced that its charity 2019 Ball will be held in the Natural History Museum in Kensington.

The Drink Industry Charity said the fundraising event, which will take place on March 14 next year, has been moved to the new venue in order to accommodate event more supporters of the charity.

On the night guests will be welcomed by a Salon des Champagnes held in Fossil Way, before moving into the Hintze Hall, where attendees will dine beneath the famous suspended blue whale. The evening includes entertainment, luxury cuisine and a silent auction with “money can’t buy” prizes.

Chris Porter, chief executive, said: “We took the bold decision to change venue as we wanted to provide our generous supporters with a unique experience at this stunning and memorable event. This Benevolent Ball is our major fundraiser of the year. It is the perfect example of the trade coming together, not only to enjoy a wonderful night with colleagues and friends, but most importantly to raise valuable funds for colleagues in need of our help. I am thrilled and so looking forward to welcoming even more supporters and raising even more for those in our industry in need.”

Members of the trade can book tickets or register interest by emailing events coordinator, Jo Riordan, at or by calling 0207 0893888.
