McQueen Gin's move from ceramic to glass to debut in Aldi stores

02 May, 2018

Craft gin distiller McQueen Gin is planning to move away from its iconic ceramic bottles to an environmentally-friendly glass option.

The move will be revealed via its listing for its McQueen Sweet Citrus Gin with Aldi in Scotland, as part of the retailer’s Scottish Gin Festival 2018.

McQueen’s managing director and founder, Dale McQueen, said: “We have seen the demand for our gin continue to grow, which is very exciting for us. Our bottle design has been central to the establishment of our brand and the popularity of the gin. However, with out beautiful planet in mind, we decided it was time to look into introducing a more eco-friendly glass bottle to the current range.

“Although we have begun making the move to the glass bottle, our ceramic bottle will remain on shelves for some time as the changeover takes shape.

“We have also made sure that the beautiful engravings and shape elements to the original bottle remain, so our customers can continue to enjoy the McQueen experience.”
