Shorn extends portfolio to include large pouch format

24 April, 2018

Shorn, the wine brand distributed by Kingsland Drinks, has added two wines in a 1.5 litre pouch format to the range.

'Shorn on Tour', which will be priced at £11 for each 1.5 litre pouch, will initially launch in two varietals: Californian Pinot Grigio and Shiraz. These will join the New Zealand brand's Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio Fizz.

The new Shiraz is described as “smooth, rich and jam-packed with ripe black fruit and a hint of cherry”, while the Pinot Grigio is light and fresh, and has flavours of citrus fruits and pear, according to the producer.

Kingsland’s WinePRO research, in collaboration with YouGov, showed the pouch format is well-liked and has appeal to younger consumers. These are people who are seeking convenient sharing options to have in the home and also at outdoor events. The packaging allows the wine the stay fresh for up to four weeks once opened.

'Shorn on Tour' pouches are available now in Tesco priced at £11 each.
