HonestBrew announced as UK exclusive importer for CR/AK

23 April, 2018

HonestBrew has announced it is to be the UK exclusive importer for Italian brewery CR/AK.

HonestBrew will now supply the brewer’s beers to a range of bottleshops including Ghost Whale, as well as other UK businesses.

CR/AK, which was created three years ago, has collaborated with international breweries including Other Half, Cigar City and the UK’s Magic Rock. The brewery recently made the decision to switch nearly all small packs to 40cl cans, which HonestBrew describes as “a brave decision in a country still in love with glass”.

Union Birrai, the craft beer association in Italy, recently announced CR/AK as Italy’s Top Brewer for 2018, following a blind tasting exercise.

HonestBrew is an online direct to consumer craft beer retailer but it also recently launched a trade offering, supplying direct to bottle shops, bars and other businesses.

Cormac Wall, beer buyer at HonestBrew, said: “We are a proudly international team in the office and we are always open to new ideas and great beers from all over the world. Beer has changed so quickly in the past five years. We see Europe as one big cooperative beer scene just waiting to be explored with great breweries and people to be found everywhere, from Valencia to Vilnius and everywhere in between. Italy has always been one of my favourite places to drink craft beer and over the years I have built up a good knowledge of the best brewers from this part of the world. Whenever I am in a bar in Italy my first order will be a fresh CR/AK beer if it’s on. It’s a pleasure to introduce them to craft beer fans in the UK.”
