Aber Falls introduces new gin to join growing portfolio

Aber Falls Distillery has introduced a new gin to sit alongside its recently launched flavoured gins and liqueurs.

The Welsh Dry Gin, which again uses locally-sourced botanicals, is made using water from the famous Aber Falls waterfall, Rhaeadr Fawr. The spirit, which takes inspiration form the traditional London Dry Gin, leads with flavours of juniper and it gives grapefruit, lemon and orange notes, resulting in a liquid with a subtly spicy and sweet finish, according to the producer.

James Wirght, managing director at Aber Falls Distillery, said: “The introduction of this classic liquid marks an important milestone for us, as we extend our range of gins, styles and flavours, and continue to achieve high-quality and consistent spirits, to satisfy growing demand. It has been am amazing start to 2018 and we have received remarkable feedback in the on and off-trade on a local and national level.

“The rise of regional gin has more than doubled in the last six months and we are proud to be serving the spirit of North Wales to the local area and further afield.”

The new gin (rsp: £24) joins others in the portfolio: Rhubarb & Ginger and Orange Marmalade Gins, as well as salted toffee, violet and coffee & dark chocolate liqueurs.

Aber Falls, which is set to launch its first whisky in 2020, has also created a temporary visitor centre in advance of a permanent fixture, which is expected in Autumn 2018.
