Kingsland invests in enhancing its bottling business

15 March, 2018

Kingsland Drinks has invested in a new facility, which it claims will make its bottling business the biggest in the UK.

The bespoke filling hall can handle one million litres of bulk capacity, and the line will be used for its producer partners as well as an increased volume of Kingland’s own brand wines and retailer exclusives.

Mark Dixon, manufacturing director, said: “This new facility is a state of the art fully automated bottling line which will produce 400 bottles per minute and is capable of filling several bottle styles. It has a labeler that is equipped with visual optical registration, increasing speed and productivity. It will allow us to offer an even more complete solution for our retail and producer brand clients.”

Neil Anderson, marketing director, said: “We have achieved rapid growth in the past few years in both the bottling and distribution sides of our business. Now we need to ensure we can continue to deliver our excellent service levels whilst also supporting the strategic focus on our own British winery brands. This new line is another key piece of infrastructure along with our carbonation facility, that can support our future capabilities.”
