Bulwark Cider launches in UK

15 March, 2018

Bulwark Cider has parachuted over to the UK from Canada.

The super-premium 5.8% abv cider, which comes in a 33cl bottle topped with a crown cork, has now been made available to the UK’s off-trade with an recommended price of £2.39.

The handcrafted super-premium cider, created in Nova Scotia, was originally launched six years ago in its home market of Canada. It is created from a blend of five apple varietals.

Brand owner, Germain Bergeron, said: “Most other UK and Swedish ciders have only a 30% to 50% juice content. We are different. Made with 100% apple juice at fermentation, the result is that Bulwark Original Cider is crisp with apple blossom aromas and similar to dry sparkling wines such as Prosecco in taste profile, but without the cost or alcohol content normally associated with sparkling wines.

“Our ethos is a true expression of what Canada is all about: clean, pure, high quality and natural. People in the UK are more aware than ever of Canada. We are delighted at the overwhelming interest we have had about this launch.”

Brand Central in Nottingham will distribute the brand.
