Bancroft Wines appoints new ceo

Bancroft Wines has appointed Jon Worsley as its new chief executive officer.

Worsley joins the board and will overseeing all aspects of the business, helping Bancroft in its aim to “consolidate its position” as a top UK premium wine merchant.

Chairman, Peter De Haan, said: “We are very happy to welcome Jon into our business. He has a proven track record of exceptional leadership and an ability to implement positive and effective changes. These skills will be invaluable as we work to achieve our ambitious growth plans.”

Worsley has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, having worked with Pernod Ricard, Treasury Wine Estates, United Wineries and most recently, Liberty Wines, where he held the position of commercial director for three years.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining Bancroft Wines at such an exciting time for the business. I look forward to working closely with the team, to strengthening relationships with our suppliers, and to continue to offer first-class service to our customers.”
