16 January, 2018

Boutinot is now working with north-eastern Italian producer Cantine Riondo, becoming the exclusive agent for wines targeted at the UK multiple off-trade.

Riondo, founded in 2008, is the bottling and export arm of the Veneto’s Collis co-operative group, which owns 6,500 hectares of vineyards via 2,400 growers throughout the region, and accounts for 15% of Veneto wine production.

Over the last nine years the company has built a reputation for its expertise in Garganega, Soave, Pinot Grigio, Ripasso, Amarone and Prosecco, and today has six winemaking facilities across the main viticultural areas of the region.

Boutinot’s head of national accounts, Shaun English, said: “This partnership with Riondo enhances our ability to offer a wide range of great-value, in-demand wines from one of the most popular regions of the country. And it further enables us to provide the flexible, full service we pride ourselves on to our customers.”
