Black Sheep founder Paul Theakston with the new brew

Black Sheep Brewery has produced a special Christmas beer to mark its 25th anniversary.

The limited edition 8.5% abv Legacy 25 is the only beer Black Sheep currently has in 75cl sharing bottles.

The brew has been made with pale and crystal malts with Goldings hops.

Black Sheep’s silver anniversary celebrations have already seen the July launch of 54 Degrees North, its first lager.

Sales and marketing director Jo Theakston said: “We wanted to create one final surprise for our customers in our silver anniversary year and what better time than Christmas to introduce Legacy 25.

“It’s a beer with powerful endeavour and true Yorkshire character – which reflects the journey we have taken since the brewery was founded – using our collective creative skills and influences to create a fitting tribute to what we’ve achieved in the last 25 years.”
