The Benevolent brings back online silent auction and aims to raise £20,000

Drinks industry charity, The Benevolent, is bringing back its online silent auction, which will take place on Thanksgiving Day on 23 November this year.

The charity hopes to raise more than £20k for colleagues of the UK drinks industry facing a variety of difficult circumstances.

Last year’s inaugural online auction attracted the interests of many trade and non-trade participants.

This year the auction site will feature prestigious lots such as a two-week stay in a large luxury villa in Florida, a private VIP tour around the Aston Martin plant and Prodrive Racing Team, two VIP hospitality tickets at a Test match or ODI at Lord’s Cricket Ground and two VIP entrance tickets to the Royal Pavilion for the Cartier Queen’s Cup at the Guards Polo Club, and many more.

The ‘Thanks for Giving” online silent auction will be love for one week and it will enable those in the trade (including their friends and family members) to bid for more than 60 sought-after items that will span corporate hospitality, cultural experiences, luxury bottles and auction of promises.

David Cox, The Benevolent chief executive, said: “We were thrilled with the success of this initiative last year, driven by the fact that our drinks trade does truly have access to many prestigious experiential lifestyle events and super-premium products and these form wonderful online auction lots that ‘money can’t buy’. I urge everyone in the trade to look deep into their physical sample cupboards together with their marketing and event collaborations to see what can be kindly donated to us. There is still time and it is all for a brilliant cause.”
