Morgenrot adds canned format for Cisk Lager

Morgenrot has introduced its Maltese beer Cisk in 33cl cans.

The UK beer and wine importer launched bottled versions of the 4.2% abv Cisk Lager in January. The beer, which has been brewed at source in Malta since 1929, is described as being a golden coloured, well-balanced lager, with a distinctive, highly refreshing flavour profile.

“It has a rich hop aroma and pleasant bitterness making it the perfect thirst quencher whatever the season,” the company said.

John Critchley, commercial director, said: “We are delighted to add the Cisk cans to our portfolio and the feedback we received at our ProjectHome trade event in Manchester was fantastic. The beer ticks all the boxes when it comes to a quality, third quenching lager and the cans will enable us to target the brand at some different areas and accounts. We are already seeing strong interest from some uber cool areas of London, so watch this space.”
