Barefoot Wines adds second sparkling variant

01 November, 2017

Barefoot Wine is adding a new sparkling addition to its line up in time for the festive season.

Barefoot Bubbly Pinot Grigio is expected to build on the success of its still Pinot Grigio, which the company said is the best-selling Pinot Grigio in the UK, with sales up 22% over the last 12 months, according to

The newcomer is the second sparkling wine in the range, joining the already popular Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscato. The Bubbly Pinot Grigio is described as having fresh flavours of citrus and sweet orange blossom, and it has a fruit forwards style to appeal to a wide range of palates.

Olga Senkina, marketing director EMEA, said: “With sparkling wine now a major contributor of growth to the wine category, coupled with the success of our existing Piinot Grigio and Bubbly Pink Moscato wines, we thought there was no better time to launch the Barefoot Bubbly Pinot Grigio. Barefoot is known for its fun and approachable style and is now leading the way in making wine more accessible to consumers of all ages, whether they are long term wine drinkers or new to the category. This product will be no exception and the affordable price tag means that any occasion can involve bubbles.”

The new bubbly will retail at £8.50 per bottle and has an abv of 8%.
