Buckingham Schenk adds to Vinalba line up

07 September, 2017

Buckingham Schenk has launched a new Patagonian wine from Vinalba.

Vinalba Patagonia Malbec de la Familia has been listed by Morrisons and is available to other retailers, priced at £9.25. It marks the third Vinalba listing for Morrisons; the Malbec rose variant was listed by the retailer in June.

Vinalba’s Patagonian wines come from its winery and estae in Alto Valle, in Rio Negro, where the vines sit at 220m above sea level. The Antarctic influences keep the temperatures low but the winds prevent diseases in the vineyards.

The full portfolio will be available to taste next month at Vinalba’s own pop-up shop, La Case del Vino Vinalba, which is being created as part of the brand’s 10th anniversary celebrations. The shop, which will be in Shoreditch, will be open to the public from 3 to 7 October, and will play a central role in its birthday festivities. Owners Herve and Diane Joyeaux Fabre will be there from Argentina during the week to present the wines to customers and host a special trade event.

Craig Durham, managing director at Buckingham Schenk, said: “Another new listing for Vinalba is fantastic news as we count down to the brand’s 10th birthday next month. We are thrilled to have gained three new listings this year for Vinalba and this is a real testament to the hard work of the team and the outstanding quality of the wines. We are really looking forward to toasting Vinalba’s success at La Casa del Vino Vinalba in October with our friends and colleagues of the wine trade.
