Salcombe Gin sets up gin delivery service for yachts

06 July, 2017

The producer of Salcombe Gin is launching a unique delivery service this summer by making its gin available to the yachting community.

Dartmouth-based Ribeye has partnered with Salcombe Distilling Co to provide a stylish Ribeye powerboat for delivering the gin.

The service will be available to yachts taking part in the Salcombe Gin SYC Regatta and the Dartmouth Royal Regatta as well as other visiting yachts in Salcombe during the summer.

Howard Davies, co-founder of Salcombe Distilling, said: “We are delighted to be working with Ribeye this summer to deliver Salcombe & Tonics to yachts during the Regatta weeks. Each beautiful wicker hamper will be packed with everything you need to make the perfect Salcombe & Tonic; 70cl bottle of Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’, premium tonic water, copa style gin glasses, gin jigger measure, ice and of course a ruby red grapefruit for our signature garnish.”

The gin is made using 13 botanicals distilled in a coper pot still with English whet spirit and blended with pure Dartmoor water.

The producer recently launched its Gin School where students can learn about gin and produce their own bottle of gin on the course.
