Magners teams up with Easyjet for summer promotion

Magners has unveiled its new Seize the Summer campaign, which will run throughout the summer across the on and off-trade.

Magners has partnered with Easyjet Holidays to give drinkers the chance to win one of 400 holidays, worth up to £1,000. In the off-trade more than 660,000 packs will feature a promotional flash, giving the brand stand out on shelf. Each pack contains a unique code, which consumers enter online to reveal an instant win or lose message.

As well as the chance to win a holiday, each pack also gives consumers £25 off any holiday over £500 booked with Easyjet Holidays.

Magners promotional packs will be listed in all major retailers across the UK, and will be heavily supported in store, through point of sale and exclusive offers.

Janette Murray, UK brand manager for Magners, said: “Our target drinkers are spontaneous, energetic and they don’t want to miss a thing, so we wanted to deliver a promotional campaign that fives them the opportunity to really enjoy the summer. We are thrilled to have partnered with Easyjet Holidays to offer Magners drinkers across s the UK the chance to make the most of the summer, with 400 holidays and thousands of other great prizes up for grabs.

"This season is a key trading period for us, and Magners over-performs in summer, increasing market share by almost 10%, so this is a great opportunity for us to reach our target audience and for retailers to put additional cash in their tills.”

The promotion will run as part of a wider integrated marketing and PR campaign, featuring social content and events.

This month, Magners launched its new five litre sharing keg of Magners Reserve, while in June it launched a 33cl can of Magners Original, exclusively in Morrisons.
