Halewood adds third gin to JJ Whitley range

07 March, 2017

Halewood Wines & Spirits has added a small batch nettle Gin to its expanding JJ Whitley collection.

The handcrafted gin, which has been inspired by English country gardens and hedgerows, has a heavy herbaceous aroma, accompanied by a light, fresh, zingy kick, bound together with a gentle sweetness.

Halewood launched its JJ Whitley craft spirits brand last year and the range currently includes two gins: JJ Whitley London Dry Gin and Elderflower Gin, and two vodkas: JJ Whitley Potato Vodka and Rhubarb Vodka.

The new 38.6% abv gin has a recommended signature serve called the Hatton Garden Iced Tea, which is a blend of green tea, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup and a splash of soda.

The 70cl gin will be priced around £18.95 with a 5cl bottle also available.

A spokesperson for Halewood said: “We are delighted to be launching this distinctive new gin. It is the fifth spirit to join the collection, which includes an elderflower gin and a rhubarb vodka, this it is a perfect addition to the portfolio.

“The quality and innovation of this exceptionally crafted liquid celebrates the brand’s rich rural heritage and fondness of seasonal flavours.”
