Innis & Gunn and Teeling team up for stout launch

13 February, 2017

Scottish brewer Innis & Gunn has produced a stout aged in whiskey barrels in conjunction with Irish distiller Teeling.

Kith & Kin is a 5.8% abv limited edition stout packaged in 33cl bottles.

Innis & Gunn founder Dougal Sharp said: “We’ve always held a great deal of admiration for Teeling’s ethos of quality and innovation.

“Like us, it is uncompromising when it comes to flavour and I was intrigued to see what we could create together.

“When we first tasted the stout with its rich notes of chocolate and coconut it was clear we were on to a winner”.

In a second stage of the collaboration the barrels that were used to age the stout have returned to Teeling to mature a stout-finished whiskey which the distiller will release in the spring.
