Sopexa unveils new managing director

Michèle Haddon has taken over as managing director for Sopexa UK and Ireland after Anne Burchett left the business in late 2016.

Haddon has spent more than 17 years in strategic marketing and communications, with a career taking in several leading agencies and brands.

She speaks English, French and Spanish, and has worked with Russian Standard Vodka, Coca-Cola, L’Oreal Paris & Professional, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Christian Dior, Liz Earle, GSK, KFC, Bayer, Unilever, Tesco, Nokia, Sony, Nintendo, Vodafone, Türk Telekom, Vimpelcom, Elekta and Smart Eyes.

In the UK her career has seen her work on Sainsburys and Asda, along with Superdrug, St-Tropez, Virgin Media and more.

Haddon, who graduated from the University of Coventry, will report to Sylvain Rouchy, managing director for Northern European. 

Sopexa handles marketing for a number of French wine regions and brands such as Nicolas Feuillatte and Bouvet Ladubay, along with Sogevinus’ port brands and Turkish winery Kavaklidere.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
