Pierhead adds Phuket Lager to its global beer line up

03 October, 2016

Phuket Lager is arriving on UK shores this week, and is set to join Pierhead’s portfolio of global beers.

Phuket Lager, which was founded in 2002 in Thailand, is brewed with premium German hops and Thai jasmine rice, which is added during the brewing process to enhance the beer’s smoothness and aroma.

The lager has no additives or preservatives and is produced in small batches every two or three months to ensure freshness.

The company’s mascot – a vibrantly-coloured hornbill bird – appears on the logo. The bird is a protected species of Thailand and is set to symbolize purity, fertility and loyalty.

Last month Pierhead announced it would distribute Swedish brewer Nils Oscar’s beers in the UK, including its popular God Lager.
