Les Grands Chais de France grows empire

21 September, 2016

Les Grands Chais de France has expanded its empire with the purchase of Bejot Vins et Terroirs, which owns 520ha of vines across some of France’s most prestigious appellations.

Bejot Vins et Terroirs’ properties are spread across Chablis Premier Cru, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes de Provence, and Coteaux du Languedoc.

A fifth of their vineyards are organic.

Mark Kears, managing director for UK & Ireland at Les Grands Chais de France, said: “The acquisition will provide Les Grands Chais de France with new and significant sourcing in key French regions and has great synergy with our already expanding François Martenot business.”

Les Grands Chais de France is the largest exporter of French wine to the UK.
